ServiceJan operates both a service-management platform and a service-provider marketplace and directory. Certain businesses and service providers may therefore appear within the ServiceJan network based on publicly available business information, independent research, third-party business data, or verification conducted by ServiceJan, even if the provider has not created a software account, purchased a subscription, or affirmatively registered for ServiceJan's paid Services.

a. Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account, subscribe to ServiceJan software, request services, claim or manage a provider profile, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the Services, we may collect information such as:

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors and may not be stored directly by ServiceJan.

ServiceJan may collect, compile, verify, organize, and display information about businesses, independent contractors, technicians, and service providers from sources other than the provider itself.

This information may include a business name, service category, publicly listed telephone number, publicly listed email address, business location, website, service area, licensing information, and other publicly available business information.
A business or service provider appearing in the ServiceJan marketplace, directory, provider network, or internal provider database does not necessarily mean that the business created a ServiceJan account, purchased ServiceJan software, subscribed to a paid plan, entered into a contract with ServiceJan, or endorsed ServiceJan.
ServiceJan may create a basic or unclaimed provider listing using publicly available or independently verified business information so that customers may identify potentially available service providers and so that ServiceJan may develop and maintain its provider network.
A provider may later be offered the opportunity to verify, claim, correct, enhance, or manage such a listing.
c. Information Collected Automatically
When you use our website, applications, or software, we may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device information
- Operating system
- Pages viewed
- Clicks and navigation activity
- Login and usage information
- Approximate location information

Where required, precise device location is collected only with appropriate device permissions.
2. Provider Listings Are Different From User Accounts
ServiceJan distinguishes between a provider listing and a registered ServiceJan account or subscription.
A provider listing may be created from publicly available business information, third-party business information, independent research, or verification by ServiceJan. Creation of such a listing does not require the provider to purchase ServiceJan software or establish a paid subscription.
A registered software account, paid subscription, or other contractual ServiceJan product generally requires additional action by the user or business, such as completing registration, accepting applicable terms, providing requested business information, selecting a plan, or completing payment where applicable.
The presence of a provider's publicly available business information within ServiceJan should therefore not be interpreted as evidence that the provider has purchased or subscribed to ServiceJan software.
3. Verification and Provider Communications
ServiceJan may contact businesses and service providers using publicly available or otherwise lawfully obtained business contact information for purposes including:
- Confirming that the business is operating
- Verifying contact information
- Verifying service categories or service areas
- Confirming whether information in a provider listing is accurate
- Advising a provider that a listing exists
- Providing instructions for correcting or claiming a listing
- Discussing potential service opportunities
- Responding to questions or requests
- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the ServiceJan provider network
These verification, administrative, operational, and listing-related communications are separate from promotional marketing communications.
Where applicable law requires consent for a particular type of marketing communication, ServiceJan will obtain or honor such consent as required.

If you are a business owner or authorized representative and believe that a provider listing contains inaccurate information, you may contact ServiceJan to request correction or verification.
Where appropriate, providers may also request that a listing be claimed, modified, or removed from public display, subject to ServiceJan's legal rights, legitimate business purposes, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
ServiceJan may retain certain information internally where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, compliance, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, suppression of future listings, or other legitimate business purposes.
Removal of a public listing does not necessarily require deletion of all information relating to the business from ServiceJan's internal records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no electronic transmission, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
